Xtract by Humpact uses algorithms to speed up the search for information in annual reports (and sustainability reports) published by companies. It identifies key topics in the reports and gives you instant access to the information and its context with summaries. The page from which a paragraph or a table was extracted will be displayed.

Xtract by Humpact is the promise of a significant time saving in the search for ESG information on listed companies. This application complements traditional data providers' offers, as it allows you to access original information in a relevant way. Xtract by Humpact will search for information that is hidden in a document and difficult to access and summarize them.

The summaries are made with ChatGPT. For this purpose, we use as input in ChatGPT paragraphs from company reports classified on ESG themes thanks to NLP algorithms (Bert). The advantage of Xtract summaries is that there are no external sources, other than the reports published by the companies and retrieved by Team Humpact. Also, the tone used by the company to tell its story is preserved. So if the company is positive, then the summary will be positive, and vice versa. The AI remains neutral and does not give its opinion on the issue.

Xtract by Humpact works like a search engine. The 2 main parameters to enter to make a query are a company document and a topic. Once these 2 information are selected, you can launch the query and display the result of our algorithms. You have access to summaries and an instant visualization of the improved company document and you can also download it.You can access additional parameters to refine your search: Absolute vision: By activating it, you can see on which topics other objects in a document are classified. (not enabled by default)Threshold: this parameter allows you to set the level of relevance of the information displayed for the selected topic (45% by default)Information types: you can choose if you want to display only tables or texts (default is tables and texts).

It is possible that a report is available in the companies' reports access but not in the Xtract engine. The reason is that a report may not be interesting from an ESG point of view. Indeed, if no ESG results have been found on one of our themes with Xtract, then it will not be present in Xtract. However, it is present in the companies' report access because we found it on the company's website.
